CJ Bar Peppy's Pogo is a gentle and friendly sort. He enjoys being with people and will do most anything for a treat. He is fully handleable, even to the point of handing you his feet unhaltered in the pasture. While he has not been to the shows, we expect he would do well at halter and in performance. He is a certified PLTA Advanced Pack Llama. Pogo shows the affinity for humans that, given the person of his dreams, could take him to great heights of accomplishment.

Pogo is fit and skilled back-country pack llama. His frequent conditioning hikes are done under saddle with a load typical of what he would carry on a pack trip. He easily negotiates the rocky terrain of canyons and cliffs traveling either cross-country or on rough cow paths in any kind of weather. He is well experience in dealing with jumps, brush, steep rocky slopes, mud, snow, water, and the unexpected rattlesnake or angry cow. He has completed his Basic and Advanced PLTA Pack Llama certifications and is scheduled to earn his PLTA Master Pack Llama certificate in the spring of 2024. Pogo also works in strings, prefering the challenging tail position.

Pogo is a breeding quality male who comes from highly capable packing stock. His excellent conformation is eye-catching. His outside lines make him an excellent choice for herd sire status. His heritage includes:

• His sire, Cautley Fair O'Joy, is a certified PLTA Master Pack Llama.. During his short show career he earned 111 ILR show points in the show ring and 160 points outside the show ring for packing, driving, public relations and hiking. His accolades include:
  
  
  • At halter: Two Grand Champion titles including the 2014 ILR Western Regional Champion title,
    and four Reserve Champion titles.
  
  
  • In Performance: One Grand Champion title
    and four Reserve Champion titles including the 2014 ILR Western Regional.
  
  
  • For Fleece-On: Three Grand Champion titles including the 2014 ILR Western Regional.
  
  
• His dam, Sunora's Grace is a certified PLTA Advanced Pack llama.


• Pogo's grandsire, Anders Tobias, was one of the very first llamas certified as a PLTA Master Pack Llama He was well known for the many, many miles he traveled on the trail. He was a National Champion at halter and in Performance and the sire of 30 excellent offspring.
