Harmony's training has included all the things a young llama needs to know to allow them to function comfortably in association with humans. This includes being fully handleable, negotiating all manner of obstacles, tolerating new and confusing situations calmly, managing a long picket line, loading/unloading and traveling without stress. Harmony is an experienced hiking companion and has placed well in performance classes at the regional level. Harmony has the wonderful habit of matching your pace. If you want to go fast, she goes fast. If you want to stroll along slowly, slow it is.

Harmony has completed her training and earned her Advanced Pack Llama (APL) certificate from the Pack Llama Trail Association. She is a proven pack llama who works well in a string and handles the rough trailless terrain of our desert environment with aplomb. In this environment she is regularly confronted with steep rugged terrain, range cattle, rattlesnakes, as well as extreme summer heat and winter cold. Trail conditions range from animal trails to cross-country rock and brush. Harmony has more than proven her ability as a pack llama. Harmony has also done well in the show ring, having earned Reserve, and Grand championships in performance classes at regional shows. Harmony's heritage is one of proven performers and breeders. Her grandsire, The Special Edition, distinguished himself with numerous championship titles both at halter and in performance. He received ALSA Recognition of Merits in Pack, PR and Obstacle. Her sire, BLT Obsidian Edition, is one of a very few certified PLTA Elite Pack Llamas. He has proven himself to be a llama of exceptional energy and endurance, which Harmony has inherited. Her dam, BLT Wahoo's Calliope is a PLTA Advanced Pack llama, while her maternal grandsire, UC Wahoo was also a PLTA Elite Pack Llama as well as a champion at halter.
